A Letter from Chunga: So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

Salt Project friends,

It’s with mixed emotions to announce that I have decided to vacate my position at Broadcom and will also be stepping down as the Head of Community for Salt Project. After much thought and discussion with my family, I’ve decided to go back into show business and return to my career in voice acting. I’ll also be working on a few additional tech projects, as well!

Since starting this journey at SaltStack, I’ve had the honor and privilege of getting to know many of you not only as colleagues, but as personal friends. I have no doubt these friendships will carry on for the rest of my life. THANK YOU! The past five years have been amazing. During our time together, we’ve seen Salt Project grow, evolve and overcome enormous changes to our environment. I’m sure the entire Salt Core Team will stand with me when I say we are truly grateful for your loyalty, contribution and belief in the future of Salt and the Salt Project Community.

Although I’m stepping away from my position, I’m going to continue to be a proud member of the Salt Project community. I’m also pleased to tell you that my good friend Tom Hatch and I are going to continue to host The Hacks podcast! As always, we’ll have new episodes releasing every Tuesday! We hope you’ll continue to listen!!

I wish you all the best that life has to offer and thank you for five unbelievable years!!

Cheers!
