Salt Project Announces the Open Sourcing of Several SaltStack Native Minions

Salt Project is happy to announce the open sourcing of several SaltStack native minions to the Salt Project. We will continue to support these and all our other native minions for our enterprise customers using SaltStack Config and SaltStack SecOps. Salt has always been a strong, passionate community of contributors and we believe it is best for the project, our community, and users that these be handed over to the community for the next phase of development.

Native minions:

• AIX: salt-native-minion-for-aix
• Arista: salt-native-minion-for-arista
• Juniper: salt-native-minion-for-juniper
• Solaris 10: salt-native-minion-for-solaris-10
• Solaris 11: salt-native-minion-for-solaris-11

We are also open sourcing Raspberry Pi armhf builds.

After Salt release v3005 we’ll no longer build these packages but will provide open source project links in an updated announcement later.
