SaltStack for OpenStack Orchestration

October 28, 2015 - Rhett Glauser

We are currently running an anonymous survey that simply asks the question, “What do you automate with SaltStack?” We have been thrilled with the number of responses and with the variety of infrastructure and software managed by SaltStack. Also, we were surprised to find that 12% of the responses included the use of SaltStack for OpenStack orchestration. Twelve percent was more than we expected.

OpenStack Summit Tokyo is underway this week. With the onslaught of news and content coming out of the conference it can be tricky to find the SaltStack highlights. So embedded below we’ve provided a couple of the best recorded sessions from Tokyo (in our humble opinion) as presented by Nitin Madhok of Clemson University, and by Kalin Nikolov and Anand Palanisamy of PayPal.
